Each simple story uses a small number of frequently repeated words. * Synopsis Peppa tries to hold off on bedtime as long as she can. * Summary Peppa and her family have just finished dinner and Mummy Pig teasingly scolds Daddy Pig for yawning at the table. He claims that it has been a long day, which she is able to agree with. Peppa insists that she and George aren't sleepy yet and asks if they can go outside to play At first Mummy Pig hesitates, but after Peppa pleads them, she decides it will be okay, but only for a little bit. Peppa and George run down to the bottom of the hill and decide to spend time jumping in muddy puddles. They spot a huge puddle but only get to play for a few more minutes before Mummy Pig calls them inside for their bath. They run back in and discuss the puddle, but when Peppa asks if they can play a bit longer, Daddy Pig says no. Inside they rush up to the bath as Daddy asks if they are sleepy yet. Peppa continues to insist that they aren't, but Mummy Pig is feeling a bit worn out now, as is Daddy Pig. In the bath, Peppa asks if they can stay in it longer, as she doesn't want to go to bed. But their parents do not allow it and get Peppa and George dressed before they brush their teeth. Peppa insists that they need to keep cleaning their teeth, but Mummy Pig offers to have Daddy Pig tell them a story if they hurry up - so George and Peppa run right into their beds. They grab Teddy and Mr. Dinosaur and are tucked in before Daddy Pig asks if they are tired yet or not. Peppa claims they are not again, then says they will need a lot of stories - though Mummy only allows one. As he begins to tell them a story Mummy Pig yawns again. She apologizes and they happen to realize that Peppa and George have already fallen asleep. They're not very surprised, so they say goodnight and turn off the light to head back to the living room, where they tell on the television to watch their favorite program.
